Script Injector: Google Tag Manager for WordPress
Adds Google Tag Manager to WordPress in seconds and stays out of the way: the official GTM script in the head, the noscript iframe right after the body opens, one container ID setting. No theme files touched, nothing to lose on a theme update.
Theme stays clean
Counters and tags live in the database, not in theme files. A theme update never removes them.
Head and body open
The GTM script goes into the head, the noscript iframe right after the body opens via wp_body_open: exactly how Google documents it.
No load on the site
No extra database tables, no bundled scripts, no page-generation overhead. One container ID field and a built-in check that GTM is live on the front end.
- Install the plugin from the WordPress plugins screen or upload the folder.
- Activate it under Plugins.
- Open
Settings -> TrendBender Script Injectorand paste your GTM container ID (example: GTM-ABC1234). - Visit any public page once: the status indicator confirms GTM is active on the front end.
GTM then loads GA4, retargeting pixels and any other tags you need, so the plugin itself stays a single-purpose tool.
